  • What you’ll learn: How to present what you do in a way that clearly communicates the problems you solve, including in relation to your competitors.

Module 4:
Messaging

  • What you’ll learn: How to clearly communicate what you do in a persuasive manner.
  • What you’ll do: Develop your messaging reference document with specific wording that resonates with your ideal audience.

Lead Generation

  • What you’ll learn: How to prioritize the tactics that will build awareness and interest for your business, based on the best ways to reach your ideal audience.
  • What you’ll do: List and rank the lead generation tactics that will work for your business, figure out what you need to develop or improve in your current marketing, and create a plan for implementation.

Lead Nurturing

  • What you’ll learn: How to prioritize the tactics that will capture, convert, and close leads into paying customers, based on the best ways to persuade your ideal audience.
  • What you’ll do: List and rank the lead nurturing tactics that will work for your business, figure out what you need to develop or improve in your current marketing, and create a plan for implementation.

Customer Experience

  • What you’ll learn: How to systematically ensure you’re providing customers with the solutions you marketed to them so that you can consistently create satisfied customers.
  • What you’ll do: Examine some of your current customer experience and fulfillment business practices so you can systematize them into written processes and build upon them where necessary.

Module 8
Customer Satisfaction

  • What you’ll learn: How to turn your satisfied customers into your #1 marketing asset.
  • What you’ll do: Examine your current customer follow-up business practices so you can create written processes for collecting reviews, increasing recurring purchases, and stimulate a steady stream of high-quality referrals.

Program Mindset

Be prepared to learn. Everyone has preconceived notions about what “good marketing” looks like. Those ideas aren’t necessarily wrong or bad, but you’ll have an easier time learning if you come into the course with an open mind that’s ready to learn.

Our Story

We developed this course because we saw a need for high-quality content at an approachable price. We offer 1-on-1 strategy sessions with our marketing retainer clients, but quickly discovered that the price range was out of reach for many small businesses who desperately needed the help. 

So what could we do? If we lowered our prices, we wouldn’t be able to stay in business for very long (and that wouldn’t help anyone long-term). How could we build a sustainable solution to bring our knowledge and skills to a larger audience?

After some brainstorming among our team members and with some of our trusted business friends, we came up with the solution: group coaching. And guess what? As we built the course, we realized this is a much better way to fulfill our passion: helping as many businesses as possible get on the path to good marketing.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm pretty busy. How much time should I expect to spend on the program each week?

We know time is limited in a small business or organization, so the program is built with busy people like you in mind.

The video portion for each module will take 40-50 minutes to watch, and each module is broken into easily digestible 5-10 minute segments. We recommend watching the videos back-to-back so you can focus on the topic all at once, but the program platform will keep your spot if you need to squeeze your learning into smaller chunks throughout your day.

The time you’ll need to spend on the worksheets will vary, but in general you should plan on dedicating an unbroken 30-90 minutes each week to complete the projects. If you’re already very familiar with some parts of your marketing (e.g., you know your audience like the back of your hand), you’ll probably blaze through those sections of the worksheets. If you’re brand-new to marketing, expect the worksheets to take a little longer.

Lastly, the community interaction is one of the most important parts of the program. You’ll need to set aside 60 to 90 minutes for the weekly group meetings, and we also recommend you spend some time throughout the week interacting with your instructors and fellow participants in the private community platform.

So grand total, expect to spend a minimum of 2-4 hours on the program each week. But remember, the more time you put into the course, the more you’ll learn and benefit from it. Spend the time to dive deep into the topics, take advantage of the extra resources, ask questions and interact with the community!

What if I don't get all the work done before the group meetings?

First of all, don’t worry! We know life happens and even the best plans can go awry. The group meetings will contain a brief overview of the module content before we dive deeper into the topic.

We’ll also spend a good portion of the meetings helping people work through sticky points in their worksheets. We don’t expect a perfectly completed worksheet before the meetings. That’s what the coaching is for!

If you’re consistently struggling to get all the work done and would like to defer your group participation to another class, just let us know! You’ll retain complete access to all of the documents so you can finish at your own pace and then you can join into a community when it’s convenient for you.
